Me to We

I am currently( still)  reading a book Me to We.  From a copyright standpoint(2004), this is an outdated title, however, this theme of recognizing the importance of We is never outdated.  As we continue to work on day to day school initiatives, it is critical that we maintain a sense of We.  It is that We that best meets the needs of each child or the Me.  One of my favorite quotes from the book is "One of the greatest rewards of helping others in finding purpose and meaning in life..."  So true, this is truely why we all became teachers in the first place...Teaching certainly does give purpose and meaning to all of our lives.

" No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main." - John Donne

Winter time!

Winter time is here!  Northpoint students will continue to go out for recess in the snow if the temps are 20 degrees or above, including windchill factors.   Please be sure your child is dressed appropriately and even bring in snow pants or boots that allows them to get "into" the snow a bit.  Students without boots will need to stay on the blacktop.
